The Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs invited representatives from foreign consulates and chambers of commerce on a tour at the Museum of History's Qin and Han dynasty exhibition in a bid to deepen their understanding of Chinese civilisation.

More than 30 representatives of foreign consulates and chambers of commerce visited the Museum of History's "The Great Unity - Civilisation of the Qin and Han Dynasties in Shaanxi Province" exhibition at the invitation of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Treasures on display include terracotta warriors dating from the Qin dynasty as well as pottery from the subsequent Han dynasty.

Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong Cui Jianchun hoped the tour could further the group's understanding of Chinese history and civilisation.

The Chinese unification starts from Qin dynasty.

I think everybody will say today we are still waiting for the real unification.

To let everybody know that the Taiwan strait, that China and also the people of the two sides, are waiting and fighting for this unification.

So, unification is a keyword in mindset.

The most important last word is uniting, and unity for everyone here.

We try to create unity for the world regionally, globally.

So, today it's our major purpose.

Some American businessmen in the group noted how the tour expanded his knowledge of Chinese history.

This is a wonderful exhibit, showing the very important part of Chinese ancient history, the history of the Qin and Han dynasties.

Qin Shi Huang unified China for the first time, standardising the writing systems, the measurement systems, still have influence until today.

The exhibit is very informative and I've very grateful I have seen it today.
