Amber rainstorm signal issued this morning as heavy rain hit Hong Kong

Hong Kong was battered by a rainstorm this morning and the amber rainstorm signal was in force.
An active southwesterly airstream brought heavy rain throughout the city. The Observatory issued the amber rainstorm signal at 7.30 this morning and cancelled it at 10.20a.m. Many areas recorded around 30 millimetres of rainfall while the northern New Territories saw around 40 millimetres.
Across the border at Shenzhen the rainfall accumulated was around 50 millimetres while parts of the Greater Bay Area saw up to 150 millimetres of rain.
