The Hong Kong Palace Museum organised its first exhibition on Chinese-Islamic cultural exchange, displaying 90 artifacts in a joint effort with Qatar Museums.
One of the most eye-catching treasures at the gala is this 16-metre-long Kevorkian Hyderabad carpet originating from the Mughal Empire that once ruled India.
The exhibition is split into four sections, focusing on interactions between Imperial China and Islamic empires such as Safavid Iran, the Mughal Empire and the Ottoman Empire.
Visitors will get to see priceless collections of art showcasing unique elements from each empire.
The exhibition will be open to the public from the 18th of this month to the 6th of October.
