The Consumer Council discovers allergenic metals in 80 percent of eyeshadow product samples it tested recently.
In the latest edition of the "Choice" magazine, the Council reveals that out of 25 products tested, 20 of them contain heavy metal elements that can cause allergy on users.
It also finds 7 samples containing the potential environmental pollutant cyclosiloxane at a concentration of more than 0.1 percent, which is higher than allowed by European Union regulations.
A number of samples are found with inadequate information on their ingridient lists. The Council urges makers to better label the ingridients and asks consumers to be more aware of the ingridients in the products.
