Two people injured in truck crash in North Point

Two people were injured after a truck was suspected to have lost control and crashed into a lamp post on King's Road in North Point.
Online footage showed the moment of the crash, when the truck, which failed to secure its tailboard, swerved to the opposite side of the road near Cheung Hong Street before ramming into Continental Mansion.
The stationary vehicle could be seen blocking two lanes on the road.
The front of the truck sustained serious damages with a broken windshield.
Authorities received reports of the accident at around 9 p.m.
The driver suffered from hand injuries and managed to escape from the truck on his own, while the passenger remained trapped in the vehicle before being rescued by Fire Services personnel.
Both were sent to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital for treatment.
