Israeli forces kill at least 60 Palestinians in Gaza mostly near aid distribution sites

The United Nations General Assembly will vote today on a draft resolution that demands an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire in the war in Gaza. This after the United States vetoed a similar effort in the Security Council last week.
The Trump administration is also discouraging governments around the world from attending a U.N. conference next week on a possible two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians.
Meanwhile, Gaza health officials say Israeli gunfire and airstrikes killed at least 60 Palestinians on Wednesday, most of them near the U.S. and Israeli-backed aid distribution site.
Another death in Gaza. This woman mourning her husband. She's shouting: "My husband, my husband."
This girl crying after her 16-year-old sister, Ghazal, was killed while she was getting food. This woman saying, "Who will feed us, who will give us water?" Ghazal just one of 60 people killed in Gaza Wednesday.
Scores of people returned to Rafah from food distribution centres carrying aid parcels on their shoulders. But many came back empty-handed.
This man said he went six times to get aid and always came back with nothing.
He said some people bring items back to sell in the market at high prices that he can't afford.
This as 17 patients, mainly children accompanied by 53 relatives, were evacuated from Gaza, landing in various Italian airports Wednesday night.
The evacuation was led by the Italian government alongside the World Health Origanization and European Civil Protection.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces recovered the remains of two additional hostages held in Gaza.
One of the hostages, Yair Yaakov, was killed on October 7th, 2023 during Hamas' attack on southern Israel and his body was taken into Gaza.
As the war in Gaza continues, the Palestinian death toll has climbed to 55,104, with 127,394 wounded as of Wednesday, according to Gaza Health Ministry. Israel has questioned the ministry's figures.
Israeli forces have destroyed vast areas of Gaza, displacing about 90 percent of its population.
And in recent weeks, Israeli forces have transformed more than half of the coastal territory into a military buffer zone which includes the now mostly uninhabited city of Rafah.
