July 1st discounts and freebies announced

The government today announced a series of discounts that will be offered to members of the public on the upcoming July 1st.
The 28th anniversary of the SAR will arrive in less than a month.
To celebrate the occasion, concessions and freebies from different sectors will be offered to the public.
On July 1st, children aged between three and 11 can take free rides on the Airport Express, while individuals who are 60 years old or above will be charged at half price.
Passengers can also enjoy free Star Ferry rides between Tsim Sha Tsui and Wan Chai on the same day, as well as on five routes operated by Sun Ferry and Fortune Ferry.
Between July 1st and 3rd, passengers can ride on trams at no cost.
MTR will give out 71,000 digital tickets on July 1st through lucky draws, allowing commuters to take a free trip in a six-month window.
Apart from public transport concessions, more than 1,000 restaurants will provide discounts on selected dishes.
Same as the previous years, the public can pay a free visit to Science, Space museums and certain exhibitions at the Hong Kong Palace Museum and M+.
JOHN LEE, Chief Executive: "I encourage more organisations to join in this campaign so we could all celebrate this important anniversary."
The CE also said the Hong Kong Tourism Board has worked with some shops and restaurants to launch concessions over the summer holiday period. He said details will be announced later.
