Chief Executive John Lee will deliver this year's Policy Address in September, a month earlier than in the previous three years.

Lee said with Legislative Council elections slated for the end of the year, the government will kickstart the public consultation process and unveil the annual blueprint earlier.

He said the change reflects his emphasis on close collaboration between the executive and the legislature.

He said he will attend more than 40 consultation sessions while all 138 performance indicators set by government bureaux last year have been met.

And the policy priorities this year remain boosting the economy and improving livelihoods.

Xia Baolong, director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, will reportedly visit Hong Kong again in late June to attend a national security forum, which will also mark his third trip to the SAR.

The CE said the administration will release more details about Xia's visit in due course.

The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department has added national security conditions to restaurant licences.

On that, the city leader defended the amendment, calling the move appropriate, adding that the new rules also apply to temporary venues such as Lunar New Year fairs.
