Chief Executive John Lee addressed concerns over the water quality in Queen's Hill Estate and Shan Lai Court in Fanling, reporting fast implementation of actions to ensure residents' peace of mind.

He highlighted the work of government employees over the weekend to deploy manpower onsite to monitor the progress.

The CE reported that besides conducting analyses of water samples, they received positive feedback from residents
who had previously made complaints about water quality, indicating that the water was clean.

He said that the government would continue to flush water through the pipes, taps and water meter, advising residents that they could do the same.

The CE also reported that the Water Department is in the process of developing a plan to replace the pipes identified as the source of the particles.

This plan will be submitted to the Development Bureau as soon as possible.
