Three-vehicle pileup on San Tin Highway, three drivers injured

Three drivers were injured and sent to hospital after they were involved in a three-vehicle pileup on San Tin Highway in Lok Ma Chau.
The front of the involved purple trailer truck sustained serious damage with glass from its detached windscreen strewn across the crash site.
A dump truck was mangled with the front of the vehicle barely recognisable. The other black private car involved in the collision sustained comparatively milder damages.
The police said the incident happened at around 1 p.m. when three vehicles travelling on the highway towards Yuen Long crashed near the San Tin Interchange.
The drivers of the three respective vehicles reported they suffered from injuries to their neck and feet. They were conscious when sent to the North District Hospital for treatment.
The affected section of the highway has been cordoned off.
