Hang Seng Bank robber appears in Sha Tin court

A man charged with robbing a Hang Seng Bank branch in Sha Tin appeared in court today.
The 49-year-old male suspect was earlier brought to the Shatin Magistrates' Courts.
The man claimed to be unemployed.
He was charged with one count of robbery and one count of attempted burglary.
This after authorities' investigation revealed the man made a failed attempt to burgle a house in Clear Water Bay prior to robbing the bank in City One, during which he held a female staff at knifepoint and stole 380,000 dollars.
The man then fled by car to the mainland via the Heung Yuen Wai Control Point before being caught by mainland authorities in Shenzhen on Tuesday.
Another man and woman have been arrested in connection with the case.
