Police's 3-month drone patrol trial starts today

The police's Kowloon West regional headquarters launched drone patrol trials at several designated locations today.
The trial is set to last for three months.
The patrols will take place across an area of 96,000 square metres between Dundas Street, Waterloo Road and Ferry Street.
The drones will fly at a height of around 60 metres, and will only descend when broadcasting anti-crime announcements or when needed for on-the-ground investigations.
The police stressed the drones will not enter residential units.
