Four more people were freed from prison after serving more than four years for their national security-related convictions.

The four men were jailed in three different prisons. Among them, Jimmy Sham who led the Civil Human Rights Front, which disbanded in 2021, left Shek Pik Prison at around 6 a.m. in a private car.

Meanwhile, former district councillor Roy Tam was also picked up by a private car and left Pik Uk Prison, while the two other former district councillors Kinda Li and Henry Wong left Stanley Prison.

They were among the 45 democrats involved in the landmark case and were convicted of conspiracy to commit subversion.

At the end of April, former pro-democracy lawmakers Claudia Mo, Kwok Ka-ki, Jeremy Tam and Gary Fan were released after serving more than four years in prison.
