The level 3 fire at a warehouse in Tin Shui Wai lasted for more than 21 hours.
The Fire Department said that the fire was put out at about 10 am on Wednesday and they will continue to spray water at the scene to prevent it from reigniting.
There was still a lot of smoke coming out of the fire scene in the morning. The fire was still fierce in some places.
Several firefighters took turns to go into the fire scene to put out the fire. The goods at the scene were blackened. The ceiling was also burned and collapsed.
The fire scene was located at Ha Tsuen Road in Tin Shui Wai. It was one of the five warehouses of Jiahong Logistics that stored electrical appliances and clothing, with an area of 200 meters by 200 meters.
The police received a report of the fire at noon yesterday. The fire was upgraded to level 3 after about an hour. A warehouse employee and a firefighter were injured and sent to the hospital.
