Ukraine says Russia has launched its largest drone attack in one night.

Three hundred and fifty-five drones along with nine cruise missiles were fired against Ukraine and follows large numbers recorded over the weekend.

Attacks are causing death and destruction across Ukraine and have angered U.S. President Trump who criticised Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

The locations within Ukraine change but the pictures remain the same. Odesa, on the Black Sea, on fire this time.

It was Kyiv and other places over the weekend in what some have called the largest attack of the war so far. Emergency responders dousing flames and dealing with the aftermath of Russian aggression.

U.S. President Donald Trump, trying to mediate peace, gave a fiery reaction.

U.S. President Donald Trump: "Yeah, I'll give you an update. I'm not happy with what Putin's doing. He's killing a lot of people, and I don't know what the hell happened to Putin. I've known him a long time. Always gotten along with him. But he's sending rockets into cities and killing people. And I didn't like it at all. Okay? We're in the middle of talking, and he's shooting rockets into Kyiv and other cities. I don't like it at all."

Drone and missile attacks on the Ukrainian capital and nearby regions took at least a dozen lives over the weekend.

Devastation, disbelief and grief. Children place toys at a makeshift shrine. Three of their classmates, all from the same family, died when the building was hit. The parents remain in hospital.

KAJA KALLAS, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs & Security Policy: "It (Russia) is really bombing Ukraine, and we have seen the deadliest attacks. So it is up to us to put the pressure on Russia so that it would also want peace. We are ready to do it on the European side, and we're hoping that other international partners will follow suit."

Tears of joy for some good news and cooperation. Prisoners were exchanged. The swap happened over three days coming after recent negotiations between Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul.

Three hundred Ukrainians, draped in Ukraine flags, in this third group with a total of 1,000 swapped between both sides.

As the men leave the bus, one woman breaks from the crowd desperate to hug her brother. She hopes all the men can come home soon.
