Filipino hiker falls into sea at Big Wave Bay

A Filipino woman fell into the sea while hiking near Big Wave Bay. Her two companions also became stranded after trying to rescue her. All three were later rescued.
The incident occurred at around 2 p.m. The woman who fell sustained light injuries and was airlifted to hospital by Government Flying Service helicopter.
The three women were taking part in a coastal hiking activity known as coasteering, which involves walking along seaside cliffs.
