The 12th edition of the Affordable Art Fair is open to the public until Sunday.

Step into a playful world where art meets everyday life.

Towering crates of fruits evoke the bustling spirit of the Yau Ma Tei wholesale fruit market. These apples even imbue a delicate fragrance of apple.

But take a closer look and you'll notice they are merely hand-carved wooden fruits.

Venture further to discover a reimagined store, where childhood treasures such as White Rabbit candies and Chupa Chups lollipops are cloaked in elegant blue-and-white porcelain wrapping.

"I want to talk to the audience and talk to the people," said artist Angel Hui. "I really hope that, after they visit my Auntie Angel Store, they will go to Hong Kong's true tuck shops and talk to the people and buy something they like. Take a piece of Hong Kong home."

Artworks inside Auntie Angel Store can be purchased. And visitors can buy snacks and drinks.

This year's edition of the Affordable Art Fair features 99 local and international exhibitors, offering a wide range of art experiences, ranging from immersive installations to cross-cultural dialogues.

Fair Director Regina Zhang said: "There are a lot of exhibitions, galleries, government support and also commercial support that helps a lot of artists develop their artistic career. There are definitely a lot of opportunities in Hong Kong."

Daisy, a foreign exhibitor, said: "I think Hong Kong has an edge because of its energy, its creative. It's raw; its not afraid to be different. A lot of people here really looking to buy art. We have a lot of potential customers here, so hopefully that turns out well for us this weekend."

Affordable Arts Fair, as its name suggests, makes art more affordable -- the fair champions accessibility without compromise, as over 1,000 works are priced under 100,000 dollars.

The exhibition will run until Sunday, and is expected to attract around 30,000 visitors, a five percent increase from last year.

General admission tickets will cost 195 dollars each, while full-time students and senior citizens aged 65 or above can get concession tickets at 145 dollars.
