Government in contact with local medicine brands about possible tourist visits

The government has launched a campaign to promote nine tourist hotspots in the city this week.
Deputy Chief Secretary for Administration Warner Cheuk said the government is in contact with some local medicine brands about the possibility of letting tourists visit their production facilities.
Speaking in a radio programme, he said in addition to industrial brands and insightful community visits, the government is also exploring the possibility of letting tourists see the manufacturing process of medicines.
But medicine companies will need to consider if they need to add new facilities to ensure hygienic operation.
Cheuk said the preference is for group tours to minimise disruption.
