Mainland influencer claims to have crossed Taiwan Strait by boat

A mainland influencer has posted two videos showing what appears to be a crossing from Fujian to Taiwan.
In the videos posted on Sunday, the influencer claims to have piloted a rubber boat from Fuzhou to Taiwan, landing in Taoyuan's coastal area a day later, where he planted a Chinese flag before returning to Fujian.
Taiwanese authorities have confirmed the authenticity of the videos. They also said in another incident on the same day, a mainland father and son were caught landing nearby.
Authorities are planning to enhance smart surveillance systems to prevent future attempts.
