Romanians go to the polls in a tense presidential run-off between a hard-right nationalist and a pro-Western centrist.
George Simion, the 38-year-old leader of the hard-right Alliance for the Unity of Romanians, casts his vote as he looks to take his country in a new direction.
The hard-right nationalist decisively swept the first round of the elections.
He opposes military aid to neighbouring Ukraine and is a supporter of U.S. President Donald Trump.
The run-off is tighter than the first round, with incumbent Bucharest Mayor Nicusor Dan pledging to crack down on corruption and maintain his staunchly pro-EU and NATO policies.
Last year, a top court voided the previous election after far-right outsider Calin Georgescu topped first-round polls.
It alleged electoral violations and Russian interference, which Moscow denied.
