At least one injured after escalator malfunctions in Causeway Bay MTR

An escalator at Causeway Bay MTR station was damaged today.
At least one person was injured.
Footage showed a malfunctioning escalator with its steps dislodged.
People at the scene said a woman suffered a knee injury.
At around 1 p.m., an escalator linking the train platform to the lobby reportedly broke down after its steps were damaged.
The escalator was later covered up by MTR staff.
Engineers were called to scene to inspect the damage and perform repairs.
The MTR is investigating the cause of the incident.
