3.8 million tourists came to HK in April

The Hong Kong Tourism Board said 3.8 million tourists came to Hong Kong in April, with the number of tourists from new markets recording the sharpest rise.
Incoming tourists last month rose 13 percent compared with the same period last year. Almost 70 percent of those are from the mainland, up 13 percent.
There were 1.03 million non-mainland tourists, of which the number of short-haul visitors rose 10 percent, and long-haul visitors went up 17 percent.
The number of visitors from new markets rose more than 30 percent to some 80,000.
