Two women suffered light injuries after a scissor attack took place on Canton Road in Tsim Sha Tsui.
The police said the incident happened at around 2 p.m., when a woman began shouting and causing a disturbance inside a shopping mall on Canton Road.
She engaged in a fight with a cleaner before she pulled out a pair of scissors from her bag.
The latter managed to escape uninjured.
The assailant then departed from the mall and kicked a female pedestrian in the stomach before she was stopped by security personnel on the premises.
She went on to kick another woman in the leg and started assaulting her with the pair of scissors near Lippo Sun Plaza, resulting in the latter suffering from hand and mouth injuries.
Authorities later subdued the assailant on site.
The woman did not carry any identification documents and was emotionally unstable at the time of arrest.
The police have yet to determine her motive.
