Application for new niches at 3 columbariums opens next Monday

The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department will accept a new round of urn niche extension applications totalling 16,000 starting next Monday.
The niches will be offered at three columbariums located in Wo Hop Shek in Fanling, Cape Collinson in Chai Wan and in Shek Mun.
After allocation of a niche, the initial interment period is 20 years, with standard niches priced at 2,400 dollars each and their larger counterparts at 3,000 dollars.
The interment period can be extended every 10 years, at a cost of 1,200 dollars and 1,500 dollars respectively.
The public can apply for the niches online or in person between next Monday and the 18th of June.
