Hongkong Post has continued its suspension of parcel deliveries to the United States, despite Washington's decision to lower tariffs on small-ticket packages from mainland China and Hong Kong.
Last month, Hongkong Post halted the acceptance of parcels containing goods bound for the U.S., citing its refusal to collect or process any tariffs on behalf of U.S. authorities.
While U.S. Customs has reportedly reduced the duty rate on lower-value shipments, Hongkong Post's website has seen no updates on resuming services.
The head of Hong Kong Shippers' Council said while reduced tariffs may offer some relief, extra customs procedures will likely keep operational costs high.
