Ferry between TKO and Sai Wan Ho to be weekend only

The Kaito ferry service between Tseung Kwan O South and Sai Wan Ho is being cut to weekends only from June 2.
Christine Fong, district councillor for Sai Kung publicised a letter by the Transport Department who said it received the ferry operator's application for adjusting the service timetable.
The authorities said the average passenger levels ranged from 100 to 130 people a day during July to December last year, compared to 150 to 190 in earlier last year.
As of January this year, the number on board dropped to 70 people during weekdays, with 190 on weekends.
The ferry operator proposed cancelling services between Mondays and Fridays but keeping services on weekends and public holidays.
