North Korean leader Kim Jong Un went to the Russian Embassy on - Victory Day - to underline North Korea's support of Moscow.
Russia held a day military parades and commemoration to celebrate and remember what Russians call the "Great Patriotic War" - the Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany in 1945.
At the same time as Xi Jinping was alongside Vladimir Putin in Red Square, Kim was at the Russian mission in Pyongyang.
State Media KRT showed Kim receiving flowers on his arrival. He later went into a hall and gave a speech. The North Korean leader said his country would not hesitate to authorise military force if U.S. persists in military provocations against Russia.
