Four-month-old baby in critical condition after suspected abuse

A four-month-old boy who suffered a brain haemorrhage is suspected of having been abused.
He remains in critical condition at Queen Mary Hospital. Police have arrested a 57-year-old woman in connection with the case.
The baby has been admitted to the intensive care unit of Queen Mary Hospital.
Sources say he was in a half-conscious state on Monday afternoon when family members took him to Gleneagles Hospital.
He was then transferred to Queen Mary Hospital. The hospital alerted the police after discovering the baby had suffered a brain haemorrhage and suspected he is a victim of shaken baby syndrome.
On Tuesday, police arrested a female relative of baby. Sources say the suspect moved into the residential unit of the baby's family in January this year.
