Pakistan Minister in Kashmir amid rising tensions with India

A Pakistan minister toured an area of Kashmir to deny Indian claims of an alleged militant training camp.
It comes amid escalating tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbours after a gun attack last month.
Information Minister Attaullah Tarar took journalists in a helicopter to a mountain village in Pakistan-administered Kashmir to prove India's claims are false.
India blames Pakistan for backing an attack where gunman killed 26 mostly Hindu tourists last month and of supporting islamist separatists. Islamabad denies involvement.
Reporters on this trip were invited to speak to residents who told them there were only "peaceful people here."Both nations have test fired ballistic missiles sincethe deadly gun attack.
Also today, Pakistan and Iran diplomatsunderlined a commitment to peace and pledged to strengthen cooperation.
The information minister says: "They alleged that terrorists were being trained at Peer Chinasi, which you can see right across on my left, on that peak, which is a tourist resort. So I think coming here, seeing is believing, because life goes on as usual. It's business as usual. You can see a government school on my left. You can see a private school right in front of me. You can see the local population roaming around freely."
