Long queues at Central pier from early morning for Cheung Chau Bun Festival

With the anticipated Piu Sik parade and bun-scrambling competition taking place on Cheung Chau today, crowds of tourists came to the Central Pier to board the ferry to the island.
Long queues developed outside pier number 5 in Central early this morning.
Guard rails were set up for passengers to queue safely.
To cope with expected extra visitor traffic after the bun-scrambling competition, ferry operator Sun Ferry will run extra ferry services from Cheung Chau to Central at 1:05 a.m.
A bus operator will also run special route 104R from 1:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. from Central Pier to Mong Kok. Some other overnight bus routes will also divert to Central Pier.
