3 dead in capsized Guizhou tourist boats

At least three people have died and 60 others taken to hospital after two tourist boats capsized in Guizhou Province in southern China. Fourteen more remain missing with rescue efforts ongoing.
The incident occurred around 4 p.m. on Liuchong River -- a tributary of the Wu River after a bout of heavy rain. The boats, carrying around 70 people including crew, overturned during their journey.
President Xi Jinping has issued a directive, calling for full efforts in the search for those still missing.
According to Xinhua News Agency, more than 50 people have been rescued so far. Emergency rescue teams continue to operate at the scene.
