Report highlights challenges for HK youth to start business in mainland

A group released a research report that identified key challenges faced by Hong Kong youth when starting businesses in mainland China. It also put forward multiple policy recommendations.
Jointly conducted by the Hong Kong Coalition and Our Hong Kong Foundation, the study highlighted cultural differences, limited access to financing and a lack of resource integration as major obstacles.
To address this, the report proposes creating a Great Bay Area Innovation Base Alliance between Guangdong and Hong Kong, and setting up a dedicated service centre in Hong Kong to help young entrepreneurs choose locations, register companies and connect with resources.
It also recommends expanding subsidies and help given to Hong Kong start-ups to secure loans and financing sources.
