Man arrested on suspicion of etomidate trafficking

The Customs and Excise Department seized 15 kilograms of suspected etomidate. Authorities arrested a 43-year-old man.
The department said the suspected etomidate can be used to make about 45,000 e-cigarette cartridges, with an estimated market value of 14 million dollars.
Authorities said they intercepted the suspect in Tsuen Wan on Saturday and found 15 bags of suspected etomidate in his suitcase. The bags were labelled as "flour."
After examining the white powder, officials arrested the man. The man will appear at West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts on Tuesday.
