The Hong Kong Tourism Board staged a drone show with a theme revolving around the intangible cultural heritage festival at 8 p.m. at the waterfront park in Wan Chai.
The drones first formed waves with fish in bright colors jumping up from the waters. That's followed by the traditional fireworks parade of Tin Hau Festival.
That's followed by depictions of Tam Kung Festival celebrations. Tam Kung is a revered sea deity among fishermen known for his power to harness the rain.
The drones then formed the Cheung Chau Taiping Jiao with its iconic floats, accompanied by popular Chinese animation character Nezha.
The last act was the bun scrambling contest which marks the end to the 12-minute performance.
