Beijing's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released a video titled "China won't kneel down," stressing that China will not give in under the U.S tariff threats.
Narrated in English with Chinese and English subtitles, the video said the U.S. is threatening the whole world with a potentially "bloody" tariff war.
The video noted that Washington is using a 90-day pause to threaten most nations to restrict their trade and economic cooperation with China. It added that countries bowing to hegemony would lead to a deeper crisis.
The video said the U.S. only accounts for less than one fifth of world trade, so if other countries can stand together, the U.S. will be isolated.
It also said China will stand firm on its choices and responsibilities, and will break down the hegemony together with the rest of the world.
