Chief Executive John Lee said the government will continue its work to attract more tourists to visit the city.

This as he shared his Friday visit to Tai O on his social media page.

He visited Tai O along with Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Rosanna Law and Secretary for Youth and Home Affairs Alice Mak.

Lee took a boat ride and talked with an exchange student from Germany.

He also bought "sa-yung," which are sweet deep fried buns of dough -- a famous snack in Tai O.

Apart from talking with mainland tourists, the city leader also tried to promote Hong Kong to a food blogger from the UK.

Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee said. "Hong Kong is really a good gourmet city. Glad to hear that. Come more often."
