Aerospace careers expo held to boost youth interest in sector

The Hong Kong Aerospace Leaders Association held its second careers and education expo in hopes of deepening young people's knowledge and interest in the aviation industry, as well as enhance the city's status as a global aviation hub.

The expo was held at the Former Royal Air Force Hangar located in the Diamond Hill Water Feature Park.

The event saw the participation of some 20 organisations including the Civil Aviation Department, the Airport Authority and representatives from Cathay Pacific.

Speaking at the expo, Under Secretary for Transport and Logistics Liu Chun-san said advantages of the city's aviation sector should be attributed to support from the mainland as well as its connection with the global community.

He further urged young people to purse their dreams and become new talent who will secure the city's status as an international aviation hub.
