CE attends China International Import Expo in Shanghai

Chief Executive John Lee attends the China International Import Expo in Shanghai.

Lee visited the Hong Kong Exhibition Area, where he interacted with exhibitors and sampled drinks.

This year's exhibition area is divided into the Hong Kong Food Pavilion and the Hong Kong Service Sector Pavilion.

Together, the two pavilions cover more than 1,600 square metres, an 11% increase compared to last year, and feature a total of 71 participating Hong Kong enterprises, representing an increase of more than 30% from the previous edition.

Earlier, Lee attended the Hongqiao International Economic Forum.

In his speech, he stated this was the first time the government hosted a major briefing at an international forum following the announcement of the first Five-Year Plan.

Hong Kong will continue to leverage its dual advantages of national and international opportunities to achieve high quality economic and social development.
