French President Emmanuel Macron has said foreign leaders including those "on the other side of the Atlantic" were seeking to exploit France's tense social climate for political gain.

This as France imposed a partial curfew for the third consecutive night, with police banning unauthorised public gatherings to prevent further unrest.

Eliana Chanex, tourist from Louisiana, US said "Obviously, you know, the news has reached the United States and it has reached worFrldwide, and I arrived in Paris yesterday morning.

I knew what was happening before I came. It did not stop me from coming. It did not stop me from enjoying this beautiful city."

Chris Summers, tourist from Perth, Australia said "Oh, well it was quite confronting. I've never been in that situation before. We've had violent protests back in Australia,

but nowhere near as violent as what I saw on Saturday. It was confronting, I was a little scared, but not terrified because I knew they weren't after me,

it was the government they're protesting against."

French President Emmanuel Macron speaking from Qatar blamed "foreign leaders" including those "on the other side of the Atlantic"

for trying to exploit France's tense social climate for their own political gain, saying,"There is no visible foreign interference in the events that took place.

However, there has been foreign manipulation of information in the aftermath, that has led to comments that are as unacceptable as they are stupid from many people, including foreign leaders.

He added, "We have seen AI-generated imaged depicting scenes that never actually happened in France. We've had people claiming that we were invaded by hordes of migrants and Islamists,

which is completely false."

At a recent rally US President Donald Trump used the violence in France to rally his political supporters, making unsubstantiated claims that Muslim migrants

are responsible for the unrest, urging Macron to "close your borders and take control before it is too late."
