Today is Chung Yeung Festival, a time when Chinese communities around the world would visit the graves of their ancestors.
This as some residents said there were fewer people visiting the city's cemeteries compared with last year.
Members of the community were seen flocking to the Cape Collinson-San Ha Columbarium in Chai Wan, with long queues of people carrying offerings and flowers stretching all the way to San Ha Street.
Marking the second day of the Chung Yeung long weekend, several residents said they noticed fewer people visiting cemeteries owing to many opting for northbound travels, with some stressing that offerings this year have gotten more expensive.
Authorities have implemented a number of special traffic arrangements in areas leading to cemeteries, urging those visiting such sites to use public transport.
