A 31-year-old man involved in voyeurism, indecent assault and the rape of five women during various orientation camps was sentenced to seven years and one week in prison.

The incidents happened at the orientation camp at the Education University of Hong Kong, the Red Cross joint-institution o-camp and on Fei Ngo Shan.

The defendant was previously found guilty on all charges by a jury.

High Court judge Esther Toh cited the victim impact report, noting that the rape victim suffered from moderate depression and anxiety after the incident.

However, considering that both parties were adults and the acts involved no intimidation or violence, the judge sentenced him to six years in prison for the rape charge.

Combined with the other four charges, the total sentence is seven years and one week.
