A 46-year-old man was arrested near Choi Hung after he was suspected of loitering around Ngau Tau Kok while carrying a knife.
Sources say the police received reports at around 1 p.m. of a man wandering around a market in Kai Yip Estate before leaving the area.
Authorities subsequently checked CCTV footage showing the man boarding a minibus travelling on the 1A route in Mong Kok, and successfully stopped the vehicle on Prince Edward Road East.
Police officers then searched the man's bag and found a 32-centimetre-long knife, arresting him on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
