A Hong Kong Airlines flight initially travelling to Okinawa had to make its way back to the city after experiencing a suspected landing gear fault.
The aircraft managed to land safely at the Hong Kong International Airport.
According to a flight tracking website, Hong Kong Airlines flight HX676 departed from the city at around 9:00 am and was set to arrive in Okinawa at 1 pm local time.
After flying for some 40 minutes, the aircraft had to turn back as it reached the South China Sea and landed at around 10 am.
This as authorities noted no injuries have been reported so far.
