Parts of Bangkok still flooded after weekend storm

Water still had not receded entirely in Thailand's capital Bangkok on Monday,

after a weekend of deluge.

Neighbourhoods in eastern Bangkok were hit hardest, and water

was about knee-deep near a train station and shopping mall in Bang Kapi.

On the first working day of the week, shoppers waded through the

water carrying bags, backpacks and boxes of groceries.

More rain is forecast for parts of Thailand, but Bangkok is expected

to be spared.

Cambodia and Myanmar were also experiencing severe weather

during the weekend.
