A man was injured after a section of scaffolding in Sham Shui Po collapsed.
The incident happened at around 4 pm on Nam Cheong Street near Yu Chau Street.
The scaffolding measuring around 33 metres by 15 metres had been erected as part of a building’s external wall maintenance works.
It appeared to have snapped around the middle, trapping a man underneath.
He sustained head injuries.
A representative of the scaffolding workers’ union says construction materials placed on the scaffolding may have exceeded its load-bearing capacity, causing the structure to give way.
