This year’s Hong Kong Cyclothon will take place on October 11, with the start and finish points moved to the West Kowloon Cultural District for the first time.

Organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, registration opens tomorrow, with 6,500 places available to local, mainland Chinese and overseas cyclists.

There are several new arrangements to this year’s routes.

The existing 50-kilometre race will be extended to 56 kilometres, with the new route passing through the newly opened Central Kowloon Bypass.

The course will take cyclists through a total of five tunnels and three bridges.

The 32-kilometre category will retain its previous route, taking cyclists through two tunnels and two bridges.
