
Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with his Chilean counterpart Francisco Perez Mackenna in Beijing.
Wang welcomed the Chilean foreign minister at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.
Wang said this year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Chile Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
He said China is willing to work with Chile to deepen cooperation around "China Year" at APEC, accelerate the development of an Asia-Pacific community and an Asia-Pacific Free Trade Area, and tap further into the potential for cooperation in areas including artificial intelligence and the digital economy.
Wang said both sides should strengthen communication and coordination and work together to promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
The Chilean foreign minister said Chile's new government firmly adheres to the One-China principle.
He said Chile is willing to maintain closer high-level exchanges, strengthen people-to-people ties, enhance integration between industrial supply chains and expand cooperation with China.
