The foreign ministers of eight countries have condemned Israel's declared rejection

of a roadmap for completing the Gaza peace plan.

This as Hamas has called on mediators and guarantors

to press Israel to approve the roadmap.

The call was made as US President Donald Trump's

son-in-law and special envoy Jared Kushner and a Hamas delegation

arrived in Cairo to advance the US-proposed Gaza peace plan.

In a statement, the Hamas delegation urged the mediators

and the US-led 'Board of Peace" to press Israel to implement all its commitments

under the first phase of the agreement, halt killings and ground incursions,

and approved the roadmap for the second phase of the agreement.

Hamas also says it had accepted the roadmap,

citing its aim to secure a permanent ceasefire, full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza,

sustained humanitarian aid and the start of work

by the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza.

Speaking from his summer residence Castel Gandolfo in Rome,

Pope Leo XIV on Sunday called for an end to ongoing violence

against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank

and urged the international community to advance a two-state solution

in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

This as dozens of Hezbollah supporters gathered on Sunday

in Jannat al-Zahraa cemetery in Beirut's southern suburb

for the funeral of a family of six members killed

in an Israeli Airstrike on South Lebanon.

The Al-Hajj Hassan family - the father, mother and four of their children -

were killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted their residence

on the outskirts of Ansar village,

according to Lebanon's Health Ministry.

Meanwhile a memorandum of understanding with the US

has been reached with "dignity and power"

while taking into consideration the principles outlined

by former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei,

Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian says.

Under the MoU, Iran and the US were scheduled to hold

negotiations within a 60-day period ending Monday

to reach a final agreement.

Iran's Esmail Baghaei told reporters in Tehran Monday it reached

an agreement with Oman over a plan for ships to transit the

Strait of Hormuz and the sides are now working on a joint statement.
