A passenger bus travelling on a Hungarian highway
crashed on Sunday and overturned, killing
12 people and injuring others.
The Polish-plates bus overturned early in the morning
on the M3 motorway
around 140 kilometres east of Budapest.
In a statement, Hungarian police said it was likely the driver
fell asleep causing the accident, and that the driver
had been taken into custody.
Poland's President Karol Nawrocki expressed his
deep sorrow over the accident involving Polish tourists.
