A Hong Kong court sentences a former procurement manager of Tse Sui Luen to jail for six years and eight months after he pleaded guilty of stealing more than 11 million dollars worth of diamonds from the company.
The sentencing is held at the High Court. The 63-year-old man started working in TSL in 1998. After being fired in 2024, he admitted stealing 31 batches of diamonds from three suppliers to the company.
When handing down his sentencing, the judge says the man breached the trust that the company had placed in him. The judge sends the man behind bars for six year and eight months after reducing one-third of the sentence.
